International Conference on Materials Innovation 2026 (ICMI26)

The International Conference on Materials Innovation 2026 (ICMI26) was held at the Brisbane Marriott Hotel from 13 to 15 August 2026.

ICMI26 brought together world-leading scientists, early career researchers, leaders and stakeholders from academia, government laboratories and industry working in the field of advanced materials, to discuss new and exciting advances across four themes: Clean Energy, Catalysis, Bioengineering, and Emerging Technologies.

The conference was organised by Professor Lianzhou Wang and Professor Kristofer Thurecht on behalf of the ICMI26 Organising Committee. Nanomaterials Centre members served as theme chairs, including Dr Julian A. Steele (Clean Energy), Dr Haijiao Lu (Catalysis) and Associate Professor Ruirui Qiao (Bioengineering).
