Researcher biography

Dr Konarova has been working on novel materials synthesis and their applications for hydrogen storage (fuel–cell) and energy storage (Li-ion batteries). Currently, she is engaged in ARC Linkage-Baosteel (Baoshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd) project on developing catalysts for syngas conversion into ethanol. The main goal of this project is to establish a potential catalytic technology to convert industrial waste syngas into ethanol, which is alternative fuel to gasoline.

Brief bio

Dr Konarova has held a postdoctoral research position at the Chemical Engineering department at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. She gained her PhD in Chemical Engineering September, 2009, Chemical Engineering Dept., Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan and her Master of Science in Chemical Engineering September, 2006, Chemical Engineering Dept., Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.
